Some misconceptions about contraception

From the hormone tablets are filling – the fact is that combination of different oral contraceptives may have an effect on body weight of the woman. One of the main prerequisites for this is that estrogens, which are based on part of the contraceptive products play a role in fluid retention in the body and thus lead to weight gain. The higher doses of estrogen are in preparation, the more noticeable is this effect. In a far greater extent, the link between contraceptive product and rising weight is strictly individual, as are important personal intolerance, lifestyle, diet and movement. Therefore should not be considered that the intake of oral contraceptions inevitably leads to obesity. Should not be consumed together with alcohol – another popular misconception is that taking contraceptives is incompatible with alcohol. Indeed, alcoholic beverages do not reduce the efficacy of the contraceptive pill. However, if as a result of alcohol abuse is occurring disorder in the gastrointestinal tract in the form of vomiting, for example, it is desirable within the last 7 days to use additional contraception.
