The meta-analysis of 63 clinical trials concluded that treatment with probiotics significantly reduced the expression of diarrhea as a side effect of antibiotic therapy. Providing the body with probiotics illness requiring treatment that can reduce by 42% the risk of unpleasant disorder is mentioned in an article in Journal of the American Medical Association on May 9.
The antibiotics cause diarrhea in 30% of cases of admission for patients who sabotage treatment. The probiotics play an important role in the recovery of the intestinal place during and after antibiotic therapy. Maintaining the balance between beneficial and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms in this environment provides a healthy low pH. The lower pH is favorable for the development of non-pathogenic microorganisms, such as bifido- and lacto-bacterias that emit specific antimicrobial substances and improve the body’s immunity. The meta-analysis includes 82 clinical trials in 57 of the application which is used only lacto-bacterias or in combination with other probiotics such as bifido-bacterias through a vein in antibiotic therapy. The remaining yeast is taken as a dietary supplement.
Sixty three of these trials involving a total of nearly 12 000 patients with documented lower risk of diarrhea due to probiotics, in both children and adults. Finding a way to determine the individual risk of diarrhea in patients taking antibiotics, given that it exists only in a minority of patients could make the application of probiotics to standard antibiotic treatment for certain diseases in the form of mandatory supportive therapy, say researchers.

The disease is an inflammation of the meninges, when extended to brain tissue refers to the meningles of the brain. Usually it is the result of another infection and occurs through transmission of viruses or bacteria, either directly or through blood as a complication. Viral meningitis is serous and run relatively mild while bacterial pustules are severe clinical picture. Viral meningitis occur mainly as a complication of viral infections, including rubella, measles and mumps when the immune system is unable to cope with infection. Pus causing meningitis vary ages. Infants and very young infants. The most frequently attacked by group B streptococci, E. coli, the larger of Haemophilus influenza, meningococcal infection. It is not unusual, about 25% of people carry this bacterium without ill or suffer from minor illnesses, upper respiratory tract. For unknown reasons (probably immune failure) in some people causes meningococcal sepsis, which occurs with the involvement of the cardiovascular system, adrenal gland, appear haemorrhagic rash, temperature and blood pressure are critically low and the patient can die in a few hours. Fortunately, this happens very rarely, Bulgaria is a country with the least sacrifice of meningococcus. If you have good images of the disease and the main symptoms of meningitis disease you will be able to diagnose the infection from the first stages and to contact a doctor even during the first symptoms.
The infection occurs by a sick person or a healthy air contaminants drip time of spray when coughing, sneezing,. Spray infection from patient end of the incubation period (time from infection to first symptoms of disease), which is 3-4 days to a week during sickness and healing period, which lasts about two weeks. Which does not mean that in contact with ill surely get sick. On the contrary, unlike other diseases such as chickenpox, the probability of disease is quite small. Of meningococcal meningitis is most often ill children from 6 months to five years, also during puberty. Most often the disease occurs during the autumn-winter-spring season. Mortality in meningococcal meningitis is 1%, but ultra sepsis increases to 30-40%. There is no lasting immunity after pulled through.
In any case the disease is one of the most dangerous and affecting mostly the children in early age.

In the nine months of pregnancy, changes occur in a woman’s body that make her frequently to ask what is normal and what is not and whether you should consult with their obstetrician. For some mothers the slightest pain is cause for panic and visit the doctor’s office. At the other extreme are women who ignore potentially dangerous symptoms, considering them as a normal part of pregnancy. In fact distinguish dangerous from the normal signals of pregnancy is sometimes difficult even for specialists. So when in doubt, always better to consult your doctor.
Bleeding
Bleeding from the vagina can mean many different things. For example: if you bleed heavily and experiencing severe pain and cramps in the abdomen during the first trimester, it may be a symptom of ectopic pregnancy, experts explain. Tubal (ectopic) pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg is implanted outside the uterus. The condition can be life threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Major bleeding accompanied by cramping, can be a sign of threatened abortion in the first or early second quarter. During the third trimester of pregnancy the same symptoms may be caused by detachment of the placenta from the underlying uterine lining. Regardless of the type and severity of bleeding during pregnancy, it is a symptom that should not be overlooked lightly and requires medical attention – the experts are unanimous. They call if you notice blood in the vagina, can not wait, and to consult as early as possible with a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
Severe nausea and vomiting
Nausea and vomiting may be part of a normal pregnancy. However, they must be addressed, especially if they hamper the normal diet. In these cases the risk of dehydration and deficiency of nutrients is increased many times and they are a serious threat to both mother and fetus.
Baby activity decreased significantly
If the baby does not move as actively as before, this may mean that it does not receive enough oxygen and nutrients to the placenta. But how do you know that? Relatively safe and effective test is the following: First, drink a cold drink or eat something. Then lie on one side to provoke movements of the fetus. Counting Rita may also help. Although there is no optimal or critical number of movements should generally feel 10 or more kicks for two hours. Otherwise, call as soon as possible to their physician.
Early in the third quarter contraction
Contractions can be a symptom of premature birth. There are so-called real and false contractions that often mislead expectant mothers. False, also known as Braxton Hicks (Braxton-Hicks) contractions are unpredictable, irregular and not increase its power and intensity. They will disappear within an hour or taking more fluids. In contrast, real contractions after about 10 minutes after another and each rule is stronger than the last. Council of specialists is not risk if you suspect that something wrong is happening – to consult a doctor.
Constant and severe headaches, abdominal pain, visual disturbances, and swelling in the second and third trimesters
These symptoms may be caused by a condition called preeclampsia. It is characterized by high blood pressure and elevated protein in urine and most often develops after the 20th week of pregnancy. Preeclampsia is dangerous and must be treated promptly.

During Anemia there are decreased number of red blood cells and the amount of blood pigment hemoglobin in them. The hemoglobin is the pigment in the blood, which contains iron and transports oxygen from lungs to cells and carbon dioxide from cells to the lungs. There are various reasons, which can cause anemia disease: fewer imports of iron in the diet, excessive blood loss or persistent minor bleeding, incomplete absorption of iron from food in the intestines, vitamin deficiency (B12 and others.).
In anemia due to deficiency of hemoglobin, which is most often the first signs are fatigue, physical weakness, headache, dizziness, sometimes shortness of breath, problems with cardiovascular activity. May occur sores in the corners of the mouth, splitting the lips without any reason, thinning and brittle nails. Pale skin does not always accompany the anemia that is characteristic of a severe case of anemia.
In iron deficiency anemia the body can not produce enough hemoglobin. Most women lose iron during their monthly cycle that necessitates the consumption of foods with high iron content (Fe).
Typically anemia is treated quickly and successfully with medication, but their effect is significantly strengthened by regular consumption of fruit and vegetables, which collect the necessary anti-anemia factors (iron, manganese, copper, etc..) In an appropriate and easy to use and intake form.
In iron deficiency anemia fruits and vegetables can be extremely helpful.
Iron content in mg per 100 g of fruits:
Apple – 2.9; pear – 3,0, quince – 3.0; cherry – 2,0 cherry – 2.0; plum – 15.0; Apricot – 4.8; peach – 5.0; dogwood – 4.1; grapes – 7.0; hips – 10.0; Strawberry – 9.0; orange – 15.0, -15.0 tangerine, lemon – 17.0, -18.0 banana, fig – 32 0.
Apple, except that it contains iron and facilitates its absorption from other sources and imported as medicine.
In fruits also contain certain quantities of manganese (raspberry – 4.6 mg). No less important is consisting copper: currants – 1.0 mg, Raspberry – 0.83 mg; strawberry – 0.45 mg and others.
Iron, manganese and copper also contain vegetables: salad, beetroot and other colored carrots, spinach, nettle, radishes and turnips, lentils, peas, cucumbers and more.
Foods with anemia are more: eggs, fish, seafood, cheese, beef liver, whole grain bread and whole wheat flour products.

Thanks to registered online clinics in the UK, you may purchase test kits to provide rapid results so that you are able to monitor your health more effectively. With the help of pregnancy test strip, ovulation test strip and menopause test strip diagnosis of a particular health condition can be done in a matter of minutes; without having to wait for a doctor’s appointment to get your results.
Pregnancy Test:
A pregnancy test strip is available in three different types, namely, Pregnancy Midstream Single Test, the Pregnancy Midstream Twin Test, and the Pregnancy Strip Twin Test. Each of these steps needs to be performed in the same manner. You simply need to collect your urine sample in a dry, clean container and then dip the pregnancy test strip in it. The test will be able to tell you whether you are pregnant or not within three minutes to five minutes by changing color.
Ovulation Test
The main function of an ovulation test strip is to find out the best stage for you to conceive. It works almost in the same way as the pregnancy checking strip. However, the only difference is that the tip of the strip will change colour to indicate when the best time to conceive is. Compared to a pregnancy test, an ovulation test strip takes a bit more time (ten minutes) to provide you with the desired results. If the change in the strip occurs after 15 minutes you shouldn’t take it into consideration.
Menopause Test
A menopause test strip helps a woman to find out the actual stage of menopause so that she’ll be able to know whether she needs to consult her doctor for further treatment. A menopausal woman is more likely have more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in her blood than the desired limit. If traces of the hormone are found in your blood more than the desired limit, it’s an indication that menopause may have started; consequently, you should speak to your doctor about what your next step should be.

Macrobiotic diet is not just a diet. It is a way of life. If you tempt idea to eat, following natural, organic, plant-based diet (little fish) and Zen-like spirituality perceive in life and in your choice of food, macrobiotic diet, then perhaps it is for you. The originating from Japan, the macrobiotic diet is based on principles that combine Zen Buddhism and Western vegetarian diets. It is much more than a list of recommended foods, because it is based on the spirit which rises beyond lifestyle, attitudes and dietary practices. The word “macrobiotic” comes from Greek and means “long life” or “great life.”
What is the Macrobiotic diet?
The regime of macrobiotic diet supports Eastern philosophy of balancing the food in order to achieve a balance between yin and yang. To achieve this balance, foods are grouped in pairs based on how many are sour, sharp, salty, sweet or bitter. Yin foods are cold, sweet and passive, while yang foods are hot, salty, and aggressive. Some foods are banned because they contain toxins or are too remote from the idea of Zen balance. Early versions of the macrobiotic diet included several stages, which became progressively more restrictive and ended with a diet of brown rice and water – which was considered at the final stage of balance between yin and yang. Today Americanized version is amended vegetarian eating plan.
Although not scientifically proven, a macrobiotic diet of good, nutritious foods can protect you from cancer and other chronic diseases. Practitioners of a macrobiotic diet prefer locally grown natural food prepared and eaten in the traditional way – baked, boiled or steamed. Many grains, vegetables, beans, fermented soy beans and soups – to which are added small amounts of fish, nuts, seeds and fruit – are the foundation of the menu in this diet. Other natural products may include the coordination of individual needs or during the transition in the diet.
The diet also allows you to eat certain fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, eggplants and peppers in limited quantities. Excluded from the diet foods are considered extreme, excessive stimulation or too concentrated and therefore are not suitable for achieving balance. The supplements of vitamins and minerals frowns, but achieve nutritional balance may not be possible without them. Consult a registered dietitian to help you balance your yin and yang and nutritional integrity of the dietary plan. Otherwise it may be that there is a deficit of some important nutrient.
Here is what contains a typical macrobiotic diet:
- Whole grains, especially brown rice: 50-60%;
- Vegetables (and seaweed): 25-30%;
- Beans: 5-10%;
- Fish, nuts, seeds, fruits: 5-20%;
- Soup (made from the above ingredients): 1-2 cups daily.
How it works
Followers of the macrobiotic diet believe that food and food quality affect health, happiness and prosperity. Eating natural food that is closer to the ground and less refined, is healthy for body and soul. One goal is to become more sensitive to the food you eat and how it affects your life. Ultimately, this feeling will raise the quality of life and health.
